Second Hole In One For Blind Golfer

John Morrison, a 66 year old golfer has had is ups and downs on the golf course. A golfer all his life, Morrison, originally from Ireland, lost his left eye in a golfing accident at Jacks Point Golf Course in New Zealand where Morrison resides in the summer. Although the injury was unfortunate and no doubt horrifying, it hasn’t stopped this avid player from hitting the links. Morrison enjoys playing in competitions and in his last tournament he achieved a golfer’s biggest goal, for the second time! Morrison scored a hole in one on hole number 14, a 172 yard par 3 at Arrowtown Golf Course in New Zealand. Being blind in one eye makes it difficult for Morrison to see all of his shots; however this shot was blind to the whole group. The hole doglegs making the green impossible to see from the tee box, it wasn’t until one of the group members went up to the green to find Morrison’s ball sitting in the cup.

John will continue to play golf and hopes to hit a couple for aces before his career is over. He was once a three handicap, before the accident, and now at a seven or eight he still manages to par’s the course at Arrowtown. Morrison received a $100 gift card for getting his hole in one that was mostly spent at the bar celebrating with this fellow golfers after the round! US Hole In One congratulates John Morrison on his amazing accomplishment!
