Winter Vacation Golf Getaways

Although the view outside your window may appear to be a frozen tundra, keep in mind there are many parts of the country that are lucky enough to escape the deep freeze of winter. Golf.com has assembled a great list of golf courses from Florida to California and even Hawaii that are just waiting to wash away those winter blues.

Doral Golf Resort and Spa, located just 12 miles from the beach in Miami, is an exquisite, top-rate course. Though quite challenging with its often windy conditions from the ocean breeze and more than 100 bunkers, golfers who have played there before suggest you brush up on your sand shot. Other than that, what can be better than playing a course where so many famous golfers have once played? Doral Golf Resort’s course, The Blue Monster, has also recently been named an official TPC course.

Considering the West Coast? Palm Springs, CA, is home to Escena Golf Club. Escena recently re-opened in 2009 and was remodeled during the two years that the club was closed. There is now a brand new 16,000 square foot clubhouse for you to relax in after a long day on the course. One of the best parts about Escena though is its affordable pricing and playable course. The back drop isn’t too shabby either, set in the beautiful mountains of the Coachella Valley.

Hawaii also boasts a plethora of fabulous golf courses, some well-known while others are considered to be clandestine jewels of the Aloha State. The Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort, in Kapalua, Maui, is best known for the annual winners only PGA opener. The tournament will take place from January 4-10, 2010 and golfers will be competing for their share of $5.6 million. Puakea Golf Course, a less known course, is located in Lihue, Kauai. Last year Golf Magazine ranked Puakea #14 on their list of best courses in Hawaii. It features many unique holes, including #6, a quite treacherous, downhill par-3 in the middle of the jungle!

Whether you choose the east or west coast or even the tropics of Hawaii you are sure to escape the winter weather even if it is for just a couple of days! You never know, you might even be lucky enough to stumble upon a golf tournament that’s looking for golfers. If you’re really lucky though they’ll have hole in one insurance covered by US Hole In One!

Make a Hole In One and You Can Be Like These Guys!

Guam is the focus of this blog article. Why? This is because there is some hole in one activity there. Recently Pac Sports and Matson hosted the 3rd Annual Mount Carmel School Tournament at the Talofofo Onward Golf Course. Sounds like an interesting place to play some golf.

Well during this tournament two lucky golfers made holes in one. According to the Pacific News Center Peter Yu shot his hole-in-one on the 14th hole winning $7600 in gas and $2400 in cash from SPPC. Then less than 30 minutes later, Mike Castro sank his hole-in-one on the 2nd hole and won a brand new Toyota Venza from Atkins Kroll. Wow guys! $7600 in gas should last for a long time and driving a new Toyota sounds great. All because of one golf shot? The tournament director also mentioned that not only were there two holes in one, but there were also 4 near misses that could have easily resulted in other golfers winning tens of thousands of dollars.

The main question is how are all these holes in one rewarded? After all tens of thousands of dollars is a lot of money. These giveaways are only possible if you have hole in one insurance. Affordable hole-in-one-insurance is what every wise tournament director looks for. Foresite Sports provides this hole-in-one insurance so we are always working round the clock to make sure that most golfers who make holes-in-one are rewarded with cash prizes, cars or even a vacation. The good news is that you are a hole-in-one away from being one of those golfers. All you have to do is tell your tournament director to work with us. That way the members at your club will be getting what they deserve. Our contact number is 888 882 5440.
